There is lot of debate ongoing on which location is best suited for IIT in Karnataka.  Since its a central sponsored institution, there are some noise from few citizens that such institution doesnt add value to the state education system.  The state would benefit from the presence of an IIT in Karnataka. Impressed, happy and enriched are words that describe how I feel right now. After two incredible weeks in China, I am now starting my journey back to Bengaluru. One of the first thing I discovered as soon I landed in China, there is no access to Facebook, Google in China. There was a email chain going rounds that some kid in a school was stripped of the vice captain post as punishment since he/she used Kannada in school. As a starter, this measure is unacceptable and the blanket ban on speaking in non-English languages is retrograde. But, we are so much used to knee jerk reaction and dont tend to think beyond some horizon ! We are bunch of lazy buggers who raise a voice only when someone holds us against the wall. BPAC  claims that its one of the organizations which is striving for good quality life for the people of Bengaluru. Its latest demands from one of the member of BPAC is as follows : Bangalore’s problems are a complex tangle of issues with various civic and utility bodies and their overlapping agendas often working at cross purposes. The result is that in the past few years the city has slid into a  morass of neglect and no one knows who is responsible for what. Ok, looks like we have a problem and we do know about it.
